Mrs. Hailman's Training School Commencement - June,1891
Training School Commencement
The annual commencement of Mrs. Hailman's training school at Laporte
occurred last evening. Mr. and Mrs. S. G. Deming and daughter, May, Miss Frnces
Cook, and Gertrude Deming, H. K. Snyder and Prof. Edward Boyle were among those
who attended from this city. The graduating class composed of the following
young ladies: Misses Lizzie Truesdell, Georgia A. Scott, Mary Fay
Hoyt, Sarah Garoutte, Paula Davidson, Jennine Goodman, Isabelle Deming, of this
city, Judith Butterworth, Bella Davidson, Lizzie Pierce, Flora Goodman,
Christina Jacobson, Emma Ewing, Camilla Kendall, Anna Parker Hillis, Anna
Ransom, Lizzie Alexander, Amanda Dillman, Lou Hosmer, Mamie Goldsmith, Helen A.
Byrch, Mamie Burrington and Cora E. Cook.
Miss
Deming delivered a very interesting essay on the "Influence of Kindergarten
Training" and responded to the address and welcome by Mrs. Hailman.
