2012  Reading

New Eahart Reed Sign 2008

By Patricia Gruse Harris

Located on 350S between 800W & 900W
Sec. 22, Twp. 36N, Range 4W
New Durham Twp., La Porte Co., IN

Salvagable stones were repaired and then reading below was done. Every stone was read and interviews with area people with knowledge
of the cemetery was undertaken.  Photos of many of these stones may be found on page 1, as they were matched to the older and newer stones.

Many stones in this cemetery have been vandalized to the extent that nothing legible but the bases remain. Also, a few others
have become unreadable over time. Based on research of various records, this marker has been placed (2012) to memorialize
all whose stones have been destroyed or are unreadable.
