This Cemetery is located on private property and should only be viewed with permission of land owners.The Pioneer Cemetery Commission had many stones restored. In September of 2009, after cleaning and
restoration of stones, inscriptions were read by Patricia Gruse Harris, who also contributed the stone photo overviews of the cemetery.

Silas B. Coulter born June 14, 1834 in Indiana . Daily Herald, Friday Feb 19, 1909 -
Silas Coulter, who came to the county infirmary many years ago, from Hanna, died there of a complication of diseases,
which included mental disorder. He was 72 years old and had been in the Longcliff asylum at Logansport at one time.
He left some money and so the body was taken to the Westville cemetery for burial. A niece from Plymouth was the only mourner.
He died Feb 7, 1909 from Illness and was buried in Coulter Cemetery on February 10, 1909.
He served in the Civil War but can't locate his service record.In the 1860 census, Silas is living next door to his brother William. Silas is with his sister Margaret and her husband,
A. W. Bales and children, in Cass Township, page 469.
He states that he is 26 years of age.
