Ezra Bates Wedge (son of William P. Wedge and Annis Wedge) from
pension application of his widow Mary Elizabeth Michael Wedge on 9 Aug 1864.
She resided at Winfield, Lake Co, Indiana. Ezra enrolled 11 Dec 1863 at
Ross, Indiana in Co G, 12th Regiment of Indiana Calvary Volunteers to serve 3
years.
Mustered into service on 15 Dec 1853. He died of Malaria Typhoid, at
his fathers house in Wanatah, Cass Twp, Laporte Co Indiana on 13 January 1864.
He was stationed at Michigan City and was on his way back to the base when
he became ill and died.
