PARTY SEARCHES FOR MISSING CRIPPLE DOWN AT BEDFORD
Bedford, Indiana, January 5–A searching party numbering nearly 40 persons was scouring the fields and swamps near here today for Tom Lewis, 71, a cripple who disappeared from his home here Monday.
The party, led by Ershall Lewis, a brother, was of the opinion that the elderly man had been the victim of violence or had died of a heart attack. Lewis before moving to Bedford lived at Muncie.
John and Charles Allgood of Bloomington are guests in the home of their
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ragsdale, Eighteenth and G streets.
Their little brother, Billy, has been seriously ill with the flu and Mrs.
