KILLED ON THE RAILROAD TRACK

Mitchell, Ind., April 23–Early yesterday morning the dead body of James Dawes, a laborer living two miles south of Mitchell, was found on the Louisville, New Albany and Chicago Railroad track in a mangled condition, being almost cut in twain. Dawes was a man of family and aged about 40. He met his death within a 100 yards of his home, and there is a suspicion that he was intoxicated at the time.
