The death of CLEMENT HILL

The text noted below was abstracted from digitized documents available at www.fold3.com.

In November 1842, John Pedigo testified in Lawrence County, Indiana, probate court that the late Clement Hill, a veteran of the Revolutionary War, died on July 2, 1835, in Lawrence County, Indiana. [Another document in the same file indicates the date of death as July 2, 1836.] He was survived by his wife, Mary Ann [Douglass, difficult to read] Hill, who did not remarry after the death of her husband. In 1843, at the age of 77, Mary applied for a widow's pension.

Clement reportedly served for 18 months under Capt. Wallace in the State of Virginia.
