TERRIORIZED THE TOWN – John McQueen, Killed at Bedford, Ind., While Resisting Arrest
Bedford, Ind., June 19 – John McQueen, who was shot during a battle with officers while resisting arrest at Huron last night, died of his wounds today. Last night McQueen terrorized the town of Huron and when officers attempted to arrest him, he opened fire on them. Mark Claud, one of the officers, was shot across the abdomen but was not seriously hurt. Many shots were exchanged before McQueen was subdued, and the entire town was in a state of panic.
