Lawrence County Vital Records
Certificates for births or deaths can be obtained from the Local Health Department in the county where the event occurred or by mail or fax from the Indiana State Department of Health. The Indiana State Department of Health can provide a copy of a birth certificate for births in the State of Indiana EXCEPT for births that occurred before October 1907. MARRIAGE RECORDS for Lawrence County are filed in the Lawrence County Clerk's Office, Court House, Bedford, IN 47421. They begin with the year 1818 but show no parents of applicants until 1887.
