1835 CD-ROM GRS #2 gives the following marriage: Thomas Medlock & Eliza Dosset 4 Dec 1835 Martin Co., IN.
HOWEVER, Item #3 near the very end of LDS microfilm roll #1,436,077 are the Martin Co., IN Marriage Records dated 1820 to 1846. On page 58 is the following entry: p.58 Marriage Certificate1835 Dec 16th This is to certify that on the 4th day of Dec 1835 I joined together as husband and _____ Thomas Medlock & Elizabeth Dosset given under my hand Willoby Blake Esqr'; the writer left the word "wife" out of from end of the second line of the document.
There are no other MEDLOCK names, brides or grooms during the time period 1820 through 1842 in Martin Co., IN.
So, that GRS CD-ROM had Eliza instead of Elizabeth for the wife of the Thomas MEDLOCK who married in Martin Co., IN in 1835.
The following court case appears LDS Microfilm #1,435,475, item #2, Civil Court Order Book 1832 - 1841, Martin Co., IN: p.174: Sept Term 1838 24 Sept 1838 Elizabeth Medlock Petition for Divorce vs Thomas Medlock Now comes said complainant by Simpson her attorney and comes also the prosecution and the Court being sufficiently advised of and concerning the premises, order, adjudicate and decree that the bonds of Matrimony be wholly dissolved which has heretofore existed between the said Elizabeth Medlock and the said Thomas Medlock, and that the plaintiff [Elizabeth Medlock] pay the cost of this court.
