James F. Simmons 67 died in a Terre Haute hospital Thursday at 7
He was born in Parke Co. And spent his entire life here an honest
upright citizen who will be greatly missed. He was deeply interested
truck farming and poultry, and was an expert in these branches. He
served for a time as poultry superintendent of the Fair. Funeral
services were conducted Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Bethel Church, by
W.J. Freed. Internment in the Rockville Cemetery. He is survived
widow, Mrs. Ellen Simmons, a son Qincy of Rosedale; Two daughters
Cora at home; Mrs. George Surber near Rockville, Two brothers - Frank
Clinton, Wallace of Rockville; Two sisters Mrs. John Fulenwider of
Rockville and Miss Alice Newkirk of Clinton. An obituary will be
