Frankfort Times: Miss Mary Campbell of Crawfordsville is in attendance at the Presbytery in this city. She resided here in 1834-5, her father being a member of the merchandizing firm of Campbell & Grant. Their place of business was located about where Ashman & Temple’s drug store now is. Miss Campbell’s family resided in the two story frame on the lot now occupied by Dinwiddie & Gaddis and now standing on a lot on West Jefferson Street and still well preserved.

Her father and twin sister died here in August and September, 1835, and are buried in the old south cemetery. Miss Campbell viewed these places yesterday with considerable interest, having never been here since leaving here in 1835, yet all the time living within twenty six miles of Frankfort.

A pioneer citizen of this place presented Miss Campbell quite a number of receipts, bills and letters as relics of that old firm, dated in 1834 and 1835.
