Lucy Ann KERN, aged about 15 years, a Negro girl, a daughter of Levi Kern, born in the state of Kentucky, residence in Crawfordsville, Indiana, appeared before the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Montgomery County, Indiana on the 8th day of November A.D. 1853 for registry and it was proved to the satisfaction of said Clerk by the testimony of Robert I.. VANCE that said Lucy Ann Kern was inhabitant of the state of Indiana at and prior to the first day of November A.D. 1851. Therefore, it is determined by said Clerk that said Lucy Ann Kern is entitled to reside in the state of Indiana. Registered November 8 th A.D. 1853. Attest : Andrew P LYNN, Clerk, Montgomery Circuit Court.

Note:  Fairly sure this is the sam gal - no idea why she had two ages, or they weren't sure which state she was born OR they have two Lucy Anns.
