McKINSEY, Joshua C., retired, Crawfordsville, was born in Warren
County, Ohio, Sept 6, 1827, and is the son of Samuel and Rebecca
McKinsey. When 2 years old he came with his parents to Ripley
Twp, Montgomery Co. His father died there in 1866, his mother 1855.
Mr. McKinsey lived in that township 43 years. He then settled in the
city of Crawfordsville. His residence is 23 Pike St. He is a Mason
and a republican, and one of the city councilman. He was married in
1849 to Rachel SPARKS. She is a member of the Christian Church.
Their home is made pleasant by the presence of an only daughter,
Emma E. She is a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
