McMAKEN, Robert W, deceased was born in Butler County OH March 30,
1805 and settled Sec 17 (Ripley Twp) Oct 2, 1830; in 1827 married Julia A. COX. 8 children: Joseph C; William G; Emily (d. in
infancy); Elizabeth (Mrs. Isaac DAVIS); Benjamin M (died in the
army) L.J. (Mrs. GW CANINE, now dead) ; Mary C (Mrs. J.
McCORMICK) and Andrew J. Mrs. McMaken d. Aug 5, 1873. Mr. McMaken
who died April 19, 1871 was a member of Legislature session
1850-51; Justice of the Peace of his township and Trustee for 2
or 3 terms.
