William Beatty Chambers was the son of Thomas and Charlotte Butcher Chambers and was born in November of 1855 in Sullivan County, Indiana. He grew-up on a farm and was attuned to that profession until he desired something different. He went off to study and finally graduated at the age of 29. Things began to happen for W.B. Chambers, a new wife (Anna Barbara Robbins from Paxton, Indiana) and not long afterward their one and one child was born, Luna Louise (27 June 1884 in Frankfort, Indiana).
His doctoring life was cut much too short as he passed away the 25th of May 1910 in Crawfordsville. He did get to see Luna happily married to another Sullivan County boy, Roy Heap McClanahan, son of James A. and Ella Heap McClanahan. Roy and Luna had a daughter, Mary Louise, whom WB was blessed to know and after her father's death, they had James William McClanahan.
