Dr. WILBUR H. GREEN

Prominent Darlington Citizen Passed Away Sunday Morning Special to the Journal. Darlington, Feb. 18.

Dr. WILBUR H. GREEN was born in Wayne County, N.Y., December 27, 1846. He died at his home in Darlington, Sunday morning, after a lingering illness of a complication of diseases, resulting in hasty consumption. Deceased graduated in medicine from the Brooklyn Hospital of Physicians and Surgeons at the age of twenty-one years. He practiced medicine in his home County and state until 1882, when he moved to Hedrick, Warren County, this state. Here he followed his profession until he located in Darlington some fifteen years ago, where he began the drug business as well as to practice his profession. Within one year after locating here he was married to Miss Mary Butcher, who, with two children, a daughter of thirteen and son of eleven, survive. Deceased has been a Mason from the time he became of age, and a member of Antonia 66, the Tribe of Ben-Hur, for nine years. The funeral will be preached Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church by Rev. W. L. Clarke. Burial will be at I. O. O. F Cemetery, conducted by the Masonic order.
