Richard Herron was born in Butler County, Ohio Jan. 16, 1813, the youngest of a large family of Thomas Herron, an early Montgomery County pioneer. His family consisted of Samuel; William; Mary; Thomas; Marth and Alice in the 1850 census, Ripley Township. He practiced in Montgomery County but located at Cutler, Carroll County, where he practiced over a large territory up to the time of his death in 1885.
