PEFFLEY (son of No. 136) married:
19th, 1850 in Putnam Co., Ind., MARA ANN CRODIAN, born Dec. 6th,
1825, died May 24th, 1886 buried in Blakesburg Cemetery.(dau.
of HENRY C. and MARA CRODIAN). Henry was born Jan. 1st, 1795 died
Dec. 22nd, 1874. His wife was born Jan. 16th, 1787, died May 7th,
1874. Both buried at Blakesburg Cemetery.
24th, 1887 at Ladoga, Ind., AMANDA S. SHAVER, born Sept. 12th, 1855.
Abraham went to Putnam Co., in 1830, where his father settled on
the banks of Raccoon Creek in Russell township. Abraham became a
prominent farmer. He inherited the Peffley mechanical trait. After
the death of his first wife he moved to Ladoga where he spent the
remainder of his life. His old home in Putnam Co., is still standing,
but the school house nearby has burned down. This was known as the
Cairo school and all of his children received their education there.
