Howard, Kan Feb 14 --Your paper recieved - I was much surprised at the great improvement over the "Waveland Monitor, printed in June 1863 which is still in possession of the undersigned. In one respect I was very much disappointed in not seeing very many familiar names. The "Monitor" has a list of the Waveland Zouaves, with Capt. Belton in command, and with the 13 officers and 63 privates. I doubt if there are at the present time living in your town 15 of the men whose names are in the list; but such is life and its misfortunes. I was well pleased with the paper coming as it does from my old home and enclose $1 for its support and with many sweet memories of Waveland and its people, I close Mrs. Aaron Clum.- typed by kbz
