Cpl. GLOVER ELLIS - arrives in South Pacific

GLOVER ELLIS - arrives in South Pacific Mrs. Herbert Ellis, 504 Wallace Ave, has been advised that her son, Cpl. Glover Ellis, has arrived safely in the South Pacific. A graduate of the Crawfordsville Hs with the class of 1940, and a former basketball star at the local high school, Cpl. Ellis was in his sophomore year at Wabash College when he enlisted. He is an armorer on a B-29 bomber and entered service in March 1942. The father, Herbert Ellis, former city councilman and foreman of the job department of the Journal-Review many years died in August 1942. Cpl. Ellis also was associated with the Journal-Review as a carrier. -- kbz
