BLOSS - Crawfordsville Weekly Journal, 14 November 1872 A boy named John Bloss had his foot smashed by a freight car running over it at the I.B. & W. depot Tuesday morning. He was swinging to the car at the time and fell off. We are expecting to hear of a boy or two getting killed soon.

BREAKMAN (sic) -- Crawfordsville Weekly Journal, 14 November 1872 A breakman on the I.B. & W. Railway had his foot crushed between the bumpers of two cars last Thursday at Lynnsburg. He was brought to this city and placed under care of Drs. McClelland, Barnett & Briggs. It is thought that the foot must be amputated. - kh

WELCH, Luella - Source: Crawfordsville Journal, 18 Nov 1893 - Last night a spelling bee occurred in the school house near Townsley's Ford. During the recess those in attendance induled in a frolic in the school yard. While running Miss Luella Welch 16-year-old daughter of Robert Welch, tripped and fell upon a large stone. Her rightr elbow was dislocated and the humrus sustained a compound fracture. She was taken to her home suffering terribly and Dr. Gott hastily summoned from the city. Her injures are of a serious character - kbz

WORTH - son of Louis - Crawfordsville Journal, May 7, 1887 A 5-year-old boy of Louis Worth sucked some corn down his wind pipe a few days ago while laughing and is in a precarious condition. He may die from the effects of it.
