William Badgley, well known carpenter and retired farmer, died at his home, 206 Jennison street, at six-thirty this morning, after an illness of several months with a complication of diseases. Had he lived until Saturday Mr. Badgley would have been sixty-four years old, his birthday coming at that time. Funeral services will be held from the late home at two Sunday afternoon, the services being in charge of Rev. B.E. Antrobus, pastor of the First baptist church. Burial will be in Masonic cemetery. Mr. Badgley was born in Hamilton county, Ohio, August 16, 1849. More than thirty years ago he came to this county, residing for years on a farm near this city. Seven years ago he came to this city to make his home and since that time has lived here. He is survived by his widow, Emma Badgley, three sons, Virgil, Byron and Charles, all of this city, and four daughters, Mrs. Norm Catterlin, Mrs. Ruth Holland and Pauline and Jennie Badgley, of this city. Two brothers are living, one residing in Cadillac, Mich., the other in Cerro Gordo, Ill. One sister lives in Kansas and another in Missouri. Mr. Badgley's illness has extended over a period of about eight months. He was not seriously ill, however, until about six weeks ago. Since that time he has been confined to his bed. For some days past he has grown weaker gradually until death finally relieved his suffering today. The deceased was well known in this city and had a large number of friends here.
