Russell R. Baker, 70, of Danville, died at 11 p.m. Friday in St. Francis Hospital Center at Beech Grove. He had been a patient several weeks. Mr. Baker was a retired worker from Chevrolet Commercial Body after 24 years. He was a member of the Prospect Masonic Lodge 714, Prospect Chapter OES 452, Veterans of Foreign Wars 2999, Scottish Rite-Indianapolis Valley, and Roberts Park United Methodist Church at Indianapolis. Born Aug. 14, 1910, at New Ross, he was a son of Warren and Annie Ballard Parker (?). He was married to Catherine Chaffin, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Jeraldine Tayler of Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Opal Huffan of New Ross and Mrs. Mary Duncan of Crawfordsville; and four grandchildren. Services were at 11 a.m. today in the N.F. Chance Funeral Home at Indianapolis. Burial was in the Washington Park East Cemetery. smc
