James Baldwin, 79, died this afternoon at home of his daughter. After suffering for 16 months following a fall in which his hip was broken, James Baldwin, 79 died at two-thirty this afternoon at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W.D Jamison, in Highland. Mr. Baldwin was born near Bainbridge, March 2, 1836. He had been a resident of Montgomery County nearly all of his life. Until a few years ago he was actively engaged in farming. He was twice married, both wives preceding him to the grave. Two daughters, Mrs. Jamison of this city and Mrs. Lee Surface of New Market and one sister, Mrs. Perry Harrell of this city survive. The deceased was a member of the United Brethren Church, having been affiliated with that church since his youth. Funeral services will probably be held Sunday. - kbz

James BALDWIN, 79, died Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and M rs. W. D. Jamison. Death came after he had suffered 16 months caused by a broken hip. The injury was sustained in a fall. Mr. Baldwin was a resident of this county nearly all his life. He was born near Bainbridge March 2, 1836 and was until recent years when he retired actively eng aged inf arming. The deceased was married twice. Both wives are dea d. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jamison of this city; Mrs. Lee Surface, of New Market and one sister Mrs. Perry Harrell of this city. He w as a member of the United Brethern Church many years. The funeral wi ll be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. N. P. France pastor of t he UB Church will have charge of the ceremonies at the late home.
