Williamsport, Ind - Claude Ray Bannon, 82, former of 303 Depot, died at 3:20 p.m. Monday May 22, 178 at the Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette. He had been ill a year. He was a farmer and salesman for the Moorman Seed Co. He operated a pool room in Williamsport from 1952-59. He was an Army Vet of WWI. He was a member of Old Union Church of Christ near Danville, Il. He resided in Illilnois and in Kramer before moving to Williamsport 20 years ago. Born Nov 23, 1895, in Wingate he was the son of Joseph E. and Clara Belle Livingston Bannon. On Feb 20, 1924 at Covington he married Esta Cleal Goodner, who died in 1972. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Vera Epperson of West Lafayette and Mrs. Doris Curley of Danville Rt 2; three brothers, Larry of Attica; Joe of West Lebanon and Arleyof Hedrick; 8 sisters, Mrs. Mary Hoppes, Mrs. Mildred Turner and Mrs. Elizabeth Briles, all of WIlliamsport, Mrs. Daisy Lewis of Attica; Mrs. Emogine Hetrick of Kingman; Mrs. Dorothy Asbury of West Lebanon and Mrs. Pauline Rice of Wingate; a stepbrother, Bill Linson of Williamsport; and 8 grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Fisher Funeral Home ,Williamsport, with Rev. Charles Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery, north of Danville. Visitation wll be from 5-99 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. - typed by kbz
