Jerrie M. Bannon, died yesterday at the residence of his nephew, Charley Wilson in New Albany.   His body will be taken to Waynetown and buried tomorrow at 10 o'clock. The  deceased was 80 years of age and had come to Montgomery Co. in the early days. He contracted and built the old Monon depot at this place, which stands as an ancient monument to his memory. During the war he did good service for Gov. Morton in spying out the Knights of the Golden Circle and bringing them to punishment. He is well known throughout Western Indiana.  He leaves several married children and a wife the sister of Mrs. WP Daggett. - kbz
