Mrs. Stella Mae Bannon, 73, resident of Crawfordsville for more than 40 years died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday in her home at 609 Liberty Street. She had been in failing health several months. Mrs. Bannon was born March 9, 1899, south of Waynetown. Her parents were Jason and Nancy Mullen Keys. She was married April 15, 1908 to Clarence E. Bannon who preceded her in death in 1965. She was a member of the Waynetown Methodist Church. Surviving are two sisters, Mabel Ellis of Ladoga and Mrs. Zula Booker of McPherson Kan and five nephews. A sister, Bernice Harwood preceded her in death. Services will be at 2:30 pm. Monday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, Rev. Guy Tremaine will conduct the last rites. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Sunday.
