Mrs. Lulu Smith received word on Tuesday evening of the death of her brother, Claude at Edmonton, Canada. he was the eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. JM Banta of Waveland. He was married to Pearl Foster the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tink Foster of Waveland: to this union one daughter was born, who passed away at birth. Claude learned and worked at the blacksmith trade with Bert Upton & Tom Sowers in the building which is now the Heslar Service Station. He moved with his father and brother to Canada, 40 years ago. Besides his wife, Pearl, he leaves 3 brothers: Wesley and Carl who live in BC Canada and Gilbert of Indianapolis; and 3 sisters; Mrs. Maude Clore of Marshall; Mrs. Clarence Oliver of Greene Twp and Mrs. Lulu Smith of Waveland. - kbz
