T.S. Banta received a telegram this morning saying that his brother, Perry who has been ill for some time had just died. The mother, Mrs. TW Banta is with the family. He was about 30 years old and had two children. He is survived by his wife, his parents, two children and the brothers, George, Theron and Basil. Arrangements have not been made for the funeral. - kbz

Mr. and Mrs. George BANTA and Theron Banta attended the funeral of Perry Banta in Gary on Saturday afternoon. They returned home the same evening. Mrs. TW Banta came home with them, Mrs. Perry Banta's mother, whose home is in Canada is with her. Perry B. Banta, age 33 years 2 months and 2 days, son of Mr. and Mrs. TW Banta, died in Mercy Hospital in Gary, Ind Thursday, March 2, following a long illness. He was an employee in the union Drawn Steel plant. The funeral services were conducted at the Williams & Burns Funeral Home at 2 o'clock on Saturday. Rev. CF Campbell pastor of the Presbyterian Church of which Perry was a member was in charge of the services. Burial was made in the Calumet Park Cemetery, Gary. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor, two sons, Kenneth & Eddie, his brother, Baasle (sic) of Gary, his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. TW Banta and two brothers, Theron and George of Waveland - kbz
