James Edward Bappert 63, well known local business man died at his home here Tuesday morning at 2 o'clock following an illness of several months. Death was due to complications arising from asthma. The deceased was born in this city May 5, 1870 the son of Augustine & Fredericks Bappert. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Owens, whose death occurred April 14, 1932. The deceased was the senior member of the firm of Bappert & Son tin works. The survivors include two children, Augustine Bappert and Mrs. Fredericks Bruce, both of this city; a grandchild and one sister, Mrs. Leroy Miller of this city. The funeral services will be held at Proffitt & Son Funeral Home Thursday afternoon 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. BE Antrobus. Interment in family lot at Oak Hill Cemetery. -- kbz
