Mrs. Mabel Rebecca Bappert, 53, died Friday at 6:10 p.m. at her home, Rt 17, Crawfordsville. She had been in failing health since September of last year. Born in White County Aug 28, 1901, she was the daughter of George W. and Emma Maxwell Christy. On April 23, 1921, she was married to William A. Bappert. She was a member of the Crawfordsville Presbyterian Church. Survivors include the husband; 3 sisters, Mrs. Esther Meeker of Lafyaette; Mrs. June McVey of Mace and Mrs. Harriet Wagoner of Sheridan; three brothesr, Maurice and Banks, both of Crawfordsville and Wilbur of Rockfield and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert D. Brady officiating. Burial in Oak Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Sunday. - kbz
