Mrs. Carrie Bell Barfield died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Ida Hutson, on West Main Street on Wednesday morning. Funeral services at the Christian Church tomorrow afternoon will be in charge of Rev. Robert Lewis. Burial in Maple Ridge Cemetery. She was born in Parke County, Oct 27, 1887, the daughter of John Henry and Ida M. Allen. She is survived by her mother and two children, Allen Birch and Pauline Blum. Another son, Clarence Earl Birch, was killed in an airplane crash at Royalton, Pa Jan 11, 1929, being one of 8 army aviators killed in the same accident. He is buried here. - kbz
