Eli Barker, 83 died at the home of his son, Albert two miles north of this city at 8 o'clock last night following a four days' illness of paralysis. He is survived by one son at whose home he died and two daughters, Mary Barker of Fowler and Rose Beckner of Michigan. Mr. Barker was born in Boone County in 1837 and had lived in this vicinity all of his life. - kbz
