Gerald C. Barker, 77, of Kingman IN died at noon Mon (March 22, 1993) at Houston Healthcare in Crawfordsville IN. He was born Aug 23, 1915, at Cates In the son of Bayless & Jane Riley Barker. He was married to Ruby M. Childers on Jan 23, 1934. She survives. He is also survived by one son, Richard C (Margaret) Barker Veedersburg, Indiana; Route 2; two daughters, Marilyn (James Harwood) and Sue (Jack) Dillon both of Kingman Indiana; five grandchildren and six great granchildren; two nephews & 3 nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers & 3 sisters. A life resident of Fountain County he was an operating engineer and had been employed at Morgan Coal Co; TeePak; and Interstate Sand & Gravel. He was a member of the Operating Eng Local 841. Funeral services at 2 p.m. EST Thurs March 25 at Shelby Funeral Home Covington; officiating Kenneth Majors; Burial Mt. Hope Cem Covington. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Wednesday. - kbz
