William L. Barker, son of Felix and Mary E. Barker, was born in Parke Co. on Jan 17, 1857 and passed from this life Sept. 8, 1930 at the age of 73 years, 8 months and 14 days, his illness lasting only a few days. All was done for him that loving hands could do but God in his Goodness saw fit to call him. He was united in marriage to Harriet Cox. To this union was born Earl and Eartha, both of whom are now deceased. Ten years ago he was deprived of a loving wife and has since spent his life in loneliness. In his boyhood days he united with the Christian church. fun. serv. were held at Coopers Chapel Wed. morning with Rev. Tharpe officiating. Interment in Cooper's Chapel.
