NEW MARKET - Catherine Grace Barnes, 63, of Rt. 2, Crawfordsville, died Friday in Golden Manor Nursing Home at Ladoga. She was born June 15, 1913, at Sonora, Ky., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thorp. She attended Kentucky schools. She first married Frank Ellman. She later married Ermin Barnes. Surviving are a son, Ronald Ellman of Louisville; a daughter, Mrs. Delbert (Carolyn) Branham of Rt. 2, Crawfordsville; a brother, Henry of Louisville; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Powers Funeral Home here with the Rev. Mike Sabens officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Sunday. - jlr
