LADOGA - Katherine C. Barnes, 78, of Ladoga, a retired nurse, died Tuesday in Hendricks County Hospital at Danville. Mrs. Barnes was a nurse in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She was a member of Ladoga Christian Church, Golden Circle Class and Alpha Pi Omega Sorority. She was active in church work and the Christian Children's Home. Born July 9, 1896, in Pike County, she was a daughter of Cashies and Dora Payton Craig. She married Donald Barnes. He is deceased. Surviving are a sister, Roma Weathers of Petersburg and several cousins. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Perkins Funeral Home here with the Rev. Dave Carnine officiating. Burial will be in Ladoga Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. - jlr
