Mrs. Belle Barnett, 75, 613 S. Green St., widow of Ray Barnett, Montgomery County farmer, died Saturday morning in Culver Hospital following an extended illness. Born May 15, 1884 in Tippecanoe County, Mrs. Barnett was the daughter of George and Emma Parvis. She married Mr. Barnett in 1906. Mrs. Barnett was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church and the Linden Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. The family home was in the Linden community several years. Survivors include a son, Max Barnett, teacher in the New Ross School; a daughter, Mrs. L. W. Smith of Lafayette; a brother, George Parvis of Stockwell, and a grandson, William Ray Barnett. Friends may call at the Hunt and Son Funeral Home, where services are announced for 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Clarence Loveland of Trinity Church officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
