James Barnett, 76 of Wingate died Friday night at St. Elizabeth Hospital after an illness of several weeks. His wife die 10 years ago when they had been married 46 years. Surviving are a son, Tom of Waynetown; two daughters, Mrs. Cora Sutton of Waynetown and Mrs. Mattie Byers, Indianapolis; three brothers, Frank of Frankfort; Alonzo of Shelby and Clarence of Pontiac, Ill; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were set for Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock in the Galey Undertaking Parlors, Wingate with Rev. Frazer of the Christian Church in charge; burial at Newtown. - kbz
