Mrs. Kathryn BARNETT of Waveland died Tuesday morning at 2:00 a.m. following a stroke of paralysis. At the time she was visiting her brother Roy at Oakland, Ill. Previous to going to Oakland she was sick and about 3 weeks ago joined her brother. Mrs. Barnett was 70 the 4th day of May. She was born in Douglas Co ILL in 1873 and was married to John LUCAS in 1920 and came to Judson to live until 1919 when they came to Waveland. The funeral was held at Oakland Wed at 2:00 and burial at Hugo, Ill. Left behind were two brothers and two sisters and a host of nephews, nieces and friends. In her early life she was a great church worker and a Bible student. - kbz
