Crawfordsville, Ind Sept 30 – A farmer and his wife were killed tonight when their automobile was struck by a Monon freight train on a county road crossing north of Crawfordsville. Samuel C. Barnett, about 50 years old, died in Culver Memorial Hospital. His wife, Alberta Barnett, about 50, died en route to the hospital. The couple was driving here form their home five miles northeast of this city when the accident occurred. Three children survive. Frank Fisher of Lafayette was engineer of the train. - kz
