Waynetown - Carol F. Barr, 52 of Waynetown died at 8:07 a.m. Saturday in Culver Union Hospital. Mrs. Barr was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and was a graduate of Crawfordsville HS. She was born June 19, 1943 at Chicago, Ill to Nathan and Lillian Reeder Phelps. She married Darrell Mitchell in 1963. She remarried in May 1974 to Brian Barr. He survives. Also surviving are her parents of Hillsboro; three sons, Jeffrey Mitchell of Daytona, Fla; and Robert Barr and Jason Mitchell, both of Waynetown; two daughters, Mrs. Julie Woodward of Terre Haute and Mrs. Melissa Owens of Lafayette and 9 grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday in Carmer-Shoemaker Funeral Home of Waynetown with the Rev. Dennis Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or organization of the donor's choice. - kbz
