Waveland - Mrs. Dominica (Dee) Barr, 87, of Waveland died Tuesday evening in Carmen Nursing Home at Crawfordsville where she had been a patient for sevearl months. She was born Nov 25, 1882, at Fontanet to Joviano and Tenna Henson Lucicano. She married Charles D. Barr in 1922 at Brazil, Ind. Mrs. Barr assisted her husband in the restaurant business for many years. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church at Crawfordsville, the Modern Martha group of United Methodist Church of Waveland and Waveland American Legion Auxiliary. She had lived in Waveland for many years. Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Walter Woods of Princeton and Mrs. Mary McMann of Los Angeles and a nephew, Raymond McMann of Los Angeles. She was preceded in death by her husband. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday by Rev. Alexander C. Stolarski in St. Bernard Catholic Church. A rosary will be said at 8 p.m. tonight in Machledt & Servies Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home between 7-9 o'clock tonight and Thursday afternoon and evening. Burial will be in Waveland Presbyterian Cemetery. -- kbz
Note: It was said she was the aunt of Guy Lombardo. I couldn't probe that but he was at her house in a big stretch limo several times that I remember (we were fairly close neighbors and a stretch limo was something ya' certainly noticed in Waveland, Indiana :)
