Waynetown – Charles H. Barton, 65 of Waynetown a retired employee of Skelgas of Crawfordsville died at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville.  Mr. Barton formerly owned and operated Waynetown Poultry Co and had worked at one time for Heffner Poultry in New Brunswick, Ind. He was a Navy veteran of WWII.  Born April 22, 1920 in Waveland he attended Advance HS. His marriage was Sept 27, 1937 in Advance to Edna L. Ray and she survives.  He was a member of Crawfordsville VFW Waynetown IOOF 330; Rebekah Lodge 551; Encampment 15 of Crawfordsville; Patriarch Militant Excelsior 18 of Lafayette; president IOOF Camping Club and past grand patriarch, State of Indiana in 1979 and 1980.  Surviving with the widow are two sons Harvey and Larry Joe Barton both of Crawfordsville; three daughters, Mrs. Clara Jane Meadows of Atlanta, Ga; Mrs. Jack (Evelyn) Swank of Waynetown and Mrs. Bill (Joyce) Birge of Veedersburg and one sister, Mrs. Ralph (Eleanor) Whittinghill of Thorntown. -kbz
