Mrs. Lena Rivers Barton, 88, of 1151 Cherry Ave., died Sunday in a local hospital. Born in Waveland, Ind., Mrs. Barton came to Long Beach 56 years ago. She was a member of First Christian Church. Surviving are sons, Guy, of Long Beach, Leland, of Redlands; daughter, Mrs. Baird Sammons, of Long Beach; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Mottell's Chapel, Reuben L. Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery.
