Lester J. Barton, 56, of Huntington Beach, Calif., a native of Linden died in Huntington Beach Community Hospital. He was a retired General Telephone Co. advertising salesman. He was a member of the old Christian Church at Linden and was a Navy veteran. He was born June 17, 1921, a son of Frank L. and Carrie Glover Barton. He was married to Betty Lou Connor on Sept. 18, 1948, at New Richmond. She survives. Other survivors are two daughters, Susan Barton and Mrs. Jay (Robin) Flanagan, both of Huntington Beach; his mother of Linden; a sister, Mrs. Homer Stonebraker of near Newtown; and an aunt, Mrs. Harold Grenard of Linden.
