Linden—Funeral services for Miss Florence Bates were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Russell E. Brown Funeral Home at Linden with Rev. Robert Shankin of Romney officiating. Miss Bates died Thursday at her home near Linden. Pallbearers were Newt Higman, Nile and Jan Royer, Oren Robbins, Frank Barker and Albert Smith. Pallbearers also assisted with floral tributes. Interment was in New Richmond Cemetery.
