Joseph L. Bayless died at his home north of town on Tuesday of typhoid fever. He was born in this county June 25, 1854. He united with the Freedom Baptist Church in the winter of 1876. He leaves a wife and five children. Funeral services were held at Freedom Church on Wednesday, conducted by Rev. W.T. Cuppy. - kbz
