Bayless - Lem

Lem Bayless died at his home north of here Tuesday of typhoid fever. He was born in this county June 25, 1854. He united with the Freedom Baptist Church in the winter of 1876, and has been a member there ever since. He leaves a wife and five children and an aged father and mother and four brothers and a host of friends and relatives to mourn his loss. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. The funeral services were held at the Freedom Baptist Church last Wednesday and were conducted by Rev. W. T. Cuppy and Rev. Jayne. The remains were interred in the Freedom Cemetery. - s
